Our 2018 Accomplishments

  • Exceeded 2017 Projected Budget by $22,608 (+6.46%), paid $28,085 extra principal payments on church’s mortgage and deposited $35,046 in church's Reserve Account.
  • Increased official membership by 8.99% over previous year.
  • Sponsored Voters’ Registration Drives for local, State and national elections, registering non-voters at church and in the Southeast Raleigh community.
  • Provided $2,000 in emergency Missions relief assistance to two families; $1,100 in relief assistance to three families in need during a major Winter Snow Storm and declared State of Emergency; and $1,000 in recovery assistance, in the aftermath of hurricane Florence, to one family, for flood water damage and remediation.
  • Sponsored monthly Health Education Awareness Sundays including a blood pressure screening, several healthy lifestyle presentations, diabetes and breast cancer awareness, and HIV awareness day.
  • Started a Financial Wellness Ministry that conducted Debt Elimination, Budgeting, and financial literacy Workshops.
  • Hosted the International Covenant Connection's 16th Annual Conference.
  • Sponsored a Prophetic Workshop for education and impartation of the gift of prophecy.
  • Held Graduates Day honoring 2 high school graduates with gifts and college stipends.
  • Provided AWF’s Children and Youth Christmas “goody” bags, toys and gift certificates.
  • Provided Back-to-School book bags and school supplies to AWF Children and Youth and to foster children in partnership with Wake County Child Welfare.
  • Partnered with Jobs for Life, Inc. and the SE Raleigh Community Center to help prepare unemployed individuals with soft job training skills for full-time job placement and Alliance of Aids Services Carolina to support their efforts in providing free STD and HIV testing, and a Food Pantry for families in need.
  • Provided $50 gift cards to needy families for Thanksgiving.
  • Sponsored a World Missions Day to celebrate cultures represented in the church from around the world
  • Provided monthly missions donations to help support a pastor and his family, school children and two teachers at Restoration Hope Academy in Eldoret, Kenya, and donated monthly support and provided Christmas gifts to a sponsored orphan at the GFE orphanage in Eldoret, Kenya.
